The Department organized an enriching Extension Activity for the II Semester students, featuring a Field Visit to the Millets Mella held at Palace Grounds, Bangalore, and organized by the Government of Karnataka. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to sustainable food practices, millet-based products, and government initiatives promoting healthy consumption.

During the visit, students explored various stalls showcasing diverse millet varieties, value-added products, and innovative agricultural techniques. They also gained insights into the nutritional benefits of millets and their growing significance in global food systems. The interactive environment offered an excellent platform for experiential learning beyond the classroom.

The activity was coordinated by Ms. Dimple Raj Purohit, Ms. Ramya R, and Ms. Harshitha M, whose guidance ensured a well-organized and impactful learning experience for all participants.

Overall, the field visit proved highly informative and engaging, fostering awareness among students about sustainable food choices and agricultural advancements.
