Programme Overview

The BA in Journalism, Political Science, and Optional English (JPOE) at M S Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce-Autonomous is a three-year undergraduate programme spanning six semesters. This multidisciplinary course equips students with a strong foundation in storytelling, critical thinking, and political analysis. It integrates the study of media, governance, and literature, fostering well-rounded graduates capable of understanding and influencing the interconnected realms of media, politics, and society.

Eligibility

  • Candidates who have completed a two-year Pre-University Course (10+2/PUC) from the Karnataka State Board or an equivalent from other states/boards with at least 40% marks or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this programme.
  • Students pursuing an international curriculum must note that eligibility depends on Association of Indian Universities (AIU) stipulations.
  • For applicants under the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum: must have 3 HL + 3 SL subjects with a total of 24 credits.
  • For applicants under the GCE A-levels / Edexcel curriculum: must have at least 3 A-levels, each with a grade not less than C.
