A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized by M S Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce - Autonomous on 28.01.2026 with the aim of creating awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and contributing to society’s healthcare needs. Blood donation is a noble act that helps save lives, and the camp encouraged students and staff to participate in this humanitarian cause.
Objectives of the Camp
- To promote awareness about the importance of blood donation
- To encourage voluntary blood donation among students and staff
- To support local hospitals and blood banks
- To instil social responsibility among students
Organization and Arrangements
The camp was organized in collaboration with Lions Blood Centre, Wilson Garden Bengaluru. A team of qualified doctors, nurses, and technicians conducted the medical procedures. Necessary arrangements such as registration desks, medical screening, blood collection units, rest areas, and refreshments were well organized. Proper hygiene and safety measures were strictly followed.
Participation
A large number of students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff participated enthusiastically in the camp. Before donation, donors underwent a basic health check-up including hemoglobin level, blood pressure, and weight. Approximately 134 units of blood were collected during the camp.
Outcome
The camp was a great success due to the active participation and cooperation of all involved. The collected blood units will be used to help patients in need, potentially saving many lives. Participants were provided with refreshments and certificates of appreciation.
Conclusion
The Blood Donation Camp was a meaningful and impactful event that highlighted the importance of social service and humanity. The college takes pride in organizing such initiatives and looks forward to conducting similar programs in the future.

A one-day workshop was successfully organized by M S Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce – Autonomous and collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) and Unnath Bharath Abhiyan (UBA) committee on 06.04.2026. The chief guest for this program was Mr. Karthik R, Principal, K.P. Pre-University College, Mysore. The principal of our college, Dr. Pushpa H, presided over the function, and the dignitary on the stage was Prof. Jayaram, Vice Principal of our College.
The dignitaries on the stage were welcomed by Raju.N, NSS Program Officer. Then after the introduction of the chief guest. Our College has taken seven villages under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scheme, and Karthik told us many things about the social, educational and economic survey in these villages. If you want to conduct a survey in the villages, it is important to know the environment there. He also told us how we should interact with the people there. He convinced us about the rules and behavior that we should follow while collecting information from the people there. He explained how the information should be filled in the UBA website after the village survey is over. He also told us how to identify the problems there and find a solution for it and upload the project in UBA, how it will be accepted and approved. In the end, he resolved the doubts of the students.
Then, the Vice Principal Prof. Jayaram spoke about the workshop and congratulated the chief guests. He honored them with a memento. Finally, the program ended with a vote of thanks and singing the national anthem.
