SDP on Communicative Skills

A Student Development Programme (SP) was organized by the Department of English, MSRCASC in association with IQAC on the topic Communicative Skills on 25th July 2025 at Kuvempu Seminar Hall. The session was graced by the guest speaker Ms. Jayapradha N, Assistant Professor, Vijaya College, Jayanagar, Bengaluru.

The programme commenced with the Ramaiah Anthem, followed by the welcome address, introduction of the guest by Ms Anushka, and the interactive lecture by the resource person. The session was coordinated by faculty members Mr. Pavansagar, Ms. Spoorthi Yadav, and Mr. Calvin George. The resource person, Ms. Jayapradha N, engaged the students in a highly interactive and insightful session.

She started with an activity and gradually introduced the participants to key components of LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) skills. She elaborated on the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication, body language, and active listening. Her engaging approach and distribution of chocolates to active participants kept the audience lively and participative throughout the session.
