A Treasure Hunt on theme Harry Potter

The English Department successfully organized a Treasure Hunt, themed Harry Potter: “Where Spells Meet Secrets”, on 28th January 2026 at the MCA Gallery, commencing at 10:30 a.m. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across departments, fostering teamwork, critical thinking, and literary engagement.The programme began with a Quiz Competition, conducted in three rounds under the guidance of Ms Rebecca. J faculty coordinator of the event. A total of 11 teams participated in the quiz. At the end of the preliminary rounds, three teams qualified for the next stage. To ensure inclusivity and provide an additional opportunity, a Rapid Fire Round was conducted as a second-chance round, through which two more teams were selected and added to the competition.

Mic Drop

The Department of English organized an open mic event titled MIC DROP on 12th January 2026. This event was the first open mic programme conducted in the college and was open to students from all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across all streams. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents in various forms of artistic expression, including poetry, music, comedy, and spoken word performances. With an enthusiastic turnout, the event successfully created an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where participants could share their creative work with their peers.
