INDUSTRIAL VISIT to PRISM Johnson Limited – Kunigal (Tile Manufacturing Unit)

Industrial visits play a significant role in the academic learning of commerce students by providing real-world exposure to industrial operations. It helps students understand how theoretical concepts are applied practically in business environments. With this objective, the students of M.Com were taken on an industrial visit to PRISM Johnson Limited, Kunigal, a renowned tile manufacturing company. This visit was organized under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Kanthamma H K and Assistant Professor Thavare The visit was highly informative and educational. Students gained practical knowledge about tile manufacturing processes, quality control, packaging, marketing, and overall business operations. We sincerely thank our teachers for giving us this valuable opportunity. The PRISM Johnson management also deserves special appreciation for their warm welcome and detailed explanation of each stage of production. • Purpose of the Visit – To gain real-time industrial knowledge. students actively participated. • Educational Value – The visit connected classroom theory with practical work. • Company Cooperation – Staff explained everything clearly.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO BAMUL – SHIVANAHALLI, KANAKAPURA

The Department of Commerce organized an industrial visit to the Karnataka Milk Federation (BAMUL), Shivanahalli, Kanakapura, providing students an excellent opportunity to understand large-scale dairy operations. The visit offered practical insights into milk collection, processing, pasteurization, cold storage, value-added product preparation, and eco-friendly waste management practices.
Students observed the functioning of advanced machinery used in producing milk, curd, ghee, cheese, and mozzarella. The session also highlighted BAMUL’s contribution to rural development, farmer welfare, and the cooperative structure that supports the dairy industry in Karnataka.
This visit enhanced students’ conceptual understanding by linking classroom knowledge with real-time industrial processes. It also inspired entrepreneurial thinking by exposing them to opportunities in dairy startups, value-added products, supply chain logistics, and sustainable business models.
The Department expresses sincere gratitude to the BAMUL management for facilitating this informative and enriching experience for our students.
Industrial Visit to Volvo Construction Equipment
Industrial Visit to Volvo Construction Equipment, Peenya, Bengaluru The PG Department of Commerce at Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce successfully organized an industrial visit to Volvo Construction Equipment, located in Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru, on April 9, 2025. During the visit, students gained valuable insights into Volvo’s advanced production techniques, quality control measures, and sustainable engineering practices, enriching their understanding of real-world industrial dynamics.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO BOSCH
On April 24, 2025, 28 students from 4th sem M. Com at M.S. RAMAIAH COLLEGE OF ARTS, SCIENCE, AND COMMERCE visited the BIDADI PLANT OF BOSCH LIMITED IN KARNATAKA. By this visit, the students were intended to gain an insight into Bosch’s manufacturing processes especially related to diesel and petrol engine production, spark plugs, and components for bs6-compliant two-wheelers. Bosch limited, a subsidiary of the global Bosch group, is perhaps one of the most prominent providers of technology and services in India. The company operates in four key business sectors, namely mobility solutions, industrial technology, consumer goods, and energy and building technology. Owing to its endless quest for innovation and quality, Bosch has become a trusted symbol in the automotive and industrial sectors.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO IISC, BENGALURU
On December 10th, 2024, the PG Department of Commerce at M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized a industrial visit to the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The M.Com students of the 1st and 3rd semesters participated in the visit, which was held at the UAV Lab, Aerospace Engineering Department, at 11:00 AM. A total of 35 students gained hands-on exposure to drone-making and testing, providing them with valuable practical insights into the field.
Industrial Visit to BAMUL Industry, Dairy Circle, Koramangala.
The objectives of organizing an industrial visit include learning about company policies in terms of production, quality, and service management and acquaintingthemselves with the working of instruments during the course curriculum. Theobjectives of an industrial visit to a dairy product facility include:
- Gaining practical knowledge of how dairy products are made, and the processes involved in milk collection, dispatch, and processing
- Learning about the latest trends in milk processing, quality inspection and packaging
- Getting a look at the advanced technology and facilities used in dairy production
- Learning about the importance of hygiene standards and quality control in the dairy industry
- Gaining exposure to the dairy industry and potential career opportunities
- Interacting with industry professionals can lead to networking opportunities and potentially job placements
