Dr. M.S. Ramaiah, a visionary philanthropist, established the Gokula Education Foundation (GEF) in 1962 to deliver education and healthcare for the betterment of mankind. The Gokula Education Foundation is a registered trust, administers multiple educational institutions under the flagship of GEF, M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (MSRCASC), which was established in 1994. M.S. Ramaiah College, of Arts, Science, and Commerce (MSRCASC), is a prestigious institution located in Bangalore, Karnataka, known for its commitment to academic excellence and quality education.
The college is permanently affiliated to Bengaluru City University (BCU), has been recognised by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 and approved by AICTE. The college received autonomous status from the UGC, the Government of Karnataka, and Bengaluru City University, with effect from the academic year 2024–25.
With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary education, the college offers eight undergraduate and seven postgraduate programs across various streams, including sciences, commerce, humanities, and management. The institution's curriculum is industry-aligned, relevant and is regularly updated to match the evolving needs of the society. The college’s infrastructure supports advanced learning, featuring advanced laboratories, well-equipped library, and digital classrooms.
In recognition of its academic and research standards, the college has secured “A” grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in its fourth cycle in the year 2021 and the college has been selected under the DBT-STAR College Scheme, highlighting its strength in Sciences by the Department of Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Further, the Department of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Commerce have been recognised as a Research Centre from the Bengaluru City University and the college also has been chosen by the Ministry of Education to serve as a Learning Support Centre for IGNOU.

As part of its commitment to nation-building, MSRCASC has adopted Six villages, engaging students and faculty in rural developmental initiatives and socio-economic surveys.
